Echte, in het wild (dat ze heus al wel leeuwen gezien heeft kon ze zich niet meer herinneren).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deze\nherfstvakantie \u2018moesten\u2019 we dus op safari. Na wat wikken en wegen, leek de kans\nom katten te kunnen zien ons het grootst in de Masai Mara. Dit bleek een heel goede keuze. Mooie lodge, met\nontzettend vriendelijk personeel, en in een mooi deel van de Mara. Van jaren\ngeleden herinnerden we ons vooral dat de (oorspronkelijke) Masai Mara veel last\nhad van (over)begrazing door Masai met hun vee, en daardoor eigenlijk verwoest\nwas. Wij kozen dan ook altijd voor de Mara Triangle ipv de \u00e9chte Mara. We waren\npositief verrast dat dit deel van de Mara weinig last leek te hebben van deze\nproblemen, en er was daardoor veel wild in de omgeving. Om te beginnen is dit\nhet eind van het Migration seizoen, en er waren dus nog immer duizenden\nWildebeast en Zebra\u2019s aan de Keniaanse kant. Maar gelukkig, ook onze missie om katten te zien is meer dan geslaagd! Het begon met een paar Cheetah\u2019s, de katten die Mia het allerliefst wilde zien, en ze spotte ze nog wel z\u00e9lf! Sowieso houden wij er niet van om een gids mee te nemen, en spotten wij dus altijd alle dieren zelf, maar deze zag Mia het allereerst. Eerst een enkele leeuwin, die\nop een heuveltje naast de weg op ooghoogte lag. We konden haar letterlijk in de\nogen kijken. Later nog een tweetal jonge mannetjes leeuwen, en op onze laatste\ngamedrive vier (2 paren van 2) mannelijke leeuwen, die elkaar even duidelijk\nwilden maken tot wie het territorium nu echt behoorde, en ons daarmee een zeer\nvermakelijke show bezorgden, met veel beweging en geluid. En zonder andere\nauto\u2019s in de buurt, dat is toch echt wel erg genieten hoor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-5 is-layout-flex
