Totdat het idee ontstond om op eerste kerstdag naar de Aberdares (hoog gelegen Nationaal Park hier in de buurt) te gaan, om daar een kerstboom te zoeken. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=1076\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1076\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7075-1024x699.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"20121225-IMG_7075\" width=\"740\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1076\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7075-1024x699.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7075-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7075.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In de tussentijd heb ik ons huisje natuurlijk toch versierd, en met behulp van v\u00e9\u00e9\u00e9l (geur)kaarsjes, kransen, engelen, kerststerren (zowel de planten als de glinsterende) en weet-ik-veel-wat-nog-meer voor decoraties, vooral rond de open haard,  was het toch echt heel kerstig geworden hoor, en zou je de boom bijna niet missen.  <\/p>\n<p>Maar zoals afgesproken, laadden we onze auto vroeg op de ochtend van eerste Kerstdag vol met picknickmanden (m\u00e9t de traditionele \u2018bunker\u2019), cadeautjes en versieringen, en zetten we koers naar de bergen!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=1060\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1060\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7005-1024x632.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"20121225-IMG_7005\" width=\"740\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1060\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7005-1024x632.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7005-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.livingea.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/20121225-IMG_7005.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Slechts een uurtje later stonden we, als eersten van de dag, voor de poort van N.P. Aberdares. Wat een mooi gebied is dit toch, en we hebben een bijzondere en mooie (kerst)dag gehad. Tot ons grote geluk bleef het de hele dag ook nog eens droog.<br \/>\nEen kerstboom in de traditionele zin van het woord hebben we, ook hier niet gevonden, maar we vonden wel een bos dat heel magisch aandeed, en dat wij een perfecte setting vonden voor een geweldig mooi kerstplaatje!<\/p>\n<p>We wensen jullie allemaal hele fijne, gezellige en Kerstige dagen!<\/p>\n<p><a
